Submit Your Tip
To submit your job hunting nugget:
- Scroll to the bottom of this page.
- Enter your name and email (none of these identifiers will be used in the published material. The email would be helpful if we need any clarification).
- Enter your job hunting advice. If possible, include a “category” for your submission to appear under the “category” heading. This could include Conferences, Phone Interviews, On-Site Interviews, etc.
- Hit the “submit” button.
- Your submission will then be published as one of our blog entries.
- Submissions need to be original in nature and not rebranded from other sources.
- There is no financial renumeration for material submitted/published within the Student Affairs Job Hunting Guide.
- Article submission does not guarantee inclusion. We reserve the right to reject submissions for any reason.

Phone interviews are much more common these days. Practice your phone interview skills. Pay particular attention to your speech and tone, as well any bad habits like rambling, using fillers like “um”, “you know”, etc.
